Information

Padise manor is located 50 km to the west of Tallinn in West-Harju County adjacent to the Keila-Haapsalu Road. It is a pleasant destination for Sunday lunches with friends, family outings and an ideal venue for official events.

The manor house has recently been completely renovated on the outside and partly on the inside. An addition was constructed on the site of the former kitchen and staff building which now includes the modern kitchen for the manor restaurant and is connected to the main building. Currently we feature a small hotel and restaurant which is open every day. There is an outside terrace with a unique and enticing view of the old Padise Monastery originally constructedin the 13th Century. One of the oldest and best originally preserved monasteries of Northern Europe. Padise was constructed on the river delta near the Baltic Sea Coast. The Baltic is now approximately 5 km from Padise the result of a slow postglacial uplifting of the land.

The manor house is owned by the von Ramm family who first took possession of Padise in 1622. The von Ramm Family Chronicle recalls the generosity of King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden who granted Padis snd its surrounding lands to Thomas von Ramm and mentions many other historical events including the visit of Czar Peter the Great (Peter I) to Padise.
The visitor may at times hear an unexpected voice in the manor reminiscent of a noble lady who lived here long ago.

The von Ramm family is committed to eventually fully renovating the manor.
